To those who love FOOD

Hello everyone and welcome to the Explore SA blog! I am very excited to share my love for the beautiful state of South Australia and to show you what's on offer! This week, I will share some of my favourite spots to grab a bite to eat (or drink) in the Adelaide CBD and surrounds!

Sitlo

Located in 3 spots in the CBD, Sitlo, a traditional Vietnamese restaurant is a must-try spot! From specialty handmade Steam Buns (Baos) to Banh Mi, Pho, and my favourite noodle bowls, Sitlo is guaranteed to stand out with its fresh and fashionable atmosphere.

Every time I've gone to Sitlo, whether it's for lunch, dinner or even a small midday snack, I'm always excited for my next visit. It's extremely affordable yet delicious, and there is no doubt in my mind that you can get a filling meal within the time of your short lunch break.

Coal Cellar + Grill

Calling all you meat and wine lovers, The Hilton's signature restaurant, located next to Victoria Square is 100% your next date night dinner location! With local South Australian produce, and over 500 wine labels to choose from Coal Cellar +Grill is a playground for your tastebuds just waiting for you to enjoy. With a dim elegant vibe, connected to the main restaurant, there are 3 private dining rooms to suit intimate private functions, and a Lobby Lounge, perfect for any pre or post-dinner drinks.

St. Louis

Who doesn't love a crafted European dessert bar? Especially one that also does the yummiest hot drinks, and cold drinks... oh and some dessert-based cocktails... Desserts ranging from to-go ice cream and gelato to dessert creations, chocolate fondue and churros to share, St Louis has everything to fulfil that chocolate craving.

How can it get any better? Oh, I forgot to mention that they have some breakfast options for those brunch dates. Locations in South Australia include Hyde Park, Norwood, O'Connell Street, Gouger Street, Mawson Lakes, Tea Tree Plaza and Glenelg!

Nola

Cool New Orleans vibe? Check. Mouth-watering food? Check. Local independent craft beers, a whiskey collection of over 350, and the yummiest cocktail selection? Check, Check, and Check. At Nola, all the boxes are checked with this good vibes only, New Orleans-inspired bar and eatery. Bring a few friends, grab a few shared plates (I recommend the Smoked Bacon Mac + Cheese and the fried chicken!), order some booze (Hurricane cocktails for the girls) and if you are visiting on a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday night, enjoy the live music that adds to the vibe!

Best Day Trips Out Of Adelaide!

But one of the most attractive things about Adelaide is that it is the gateway to many of South Australia's best destinations.  With South Australia's relatively compact size, from only a few hours out of the city, you can experience world-class wine regions, beautiful beaches, diverse wildlife, historical sites, and much more! With over 150 wineries in the Barossa and about 80 cellar doors, there is plenty of wine experiences to be enjoyed. But wine isn't all that Barossa Valley has to offer.
